IC İÇTAŞ Enerji Yatırım laid the foundation to a structure covering all the links of the value chain of electrical energy by acquiring Trakya Elektrik Dağıtım A.S. (TREDAŞ) in late 2011 under privatisation.
Founded in 1995, TREDAŞ signed a operation rights transfer contract with TEDAŞ on 12 June 2006 and was involved in the privatisation process along with the other distribution companies. TREDAŞ has the distribution license for the Trace Region until 2036.
Operating in a total of 26 districts, 57 towns and 678 villages in the provinces of Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli and having approximately 1.1 million subscribers, TREDAŞ serves about 1.8 million citizens in its region.
Being one of the fastest growing regions of Turkey in terms of distribution of electricity, Trace Electricity Distribution Region has an electricity transportation/distribution line over 19 thousand kilometers. Having distributed 6,4 billion kWh energy in 2014, TREDAŞ consists of a General Directorate, four Operations Directorates and Head Engineering and Management under these directorates. 3 of these operation directorates are located in province centres (Tekirdağ, Edirne, Kırklareli) and one is located in the district centre (Çorlu).
